Hand-Painted 'Circular Economy' Denim Patch: Upcycled Eco Art

💛This patch is made from a pre loved pair of denim jeans and I have hand painted it using vegan friendly, water based fabric paint. It is a unique piece of one- off artwork. 

This patch is roughly 9cm round

🧡These can be sewn on to jackets, bags or jeans and are a creative and colourful way to raise awareness and spread compassion. 

Patches can be washed at 30 or 40 degrees. I recommend sewing them on to items such as jackets and bags that do not require regular washing.

💜 Working towards a circular economy is so important as it helps to slow down mass production and prevents waste, both of which are damaging the Earth. Mass production involves (to name just a few) over use of the Earths resources, the use of harmful chemicals, huge amounts of waste and pollution.

Creating a circular economy can look like buying clothes, toys or household items second hand instead of new. It can look like, repairing clothes and toys, re using and re filling tubs and jars (zero waste shops are a great place to find food and hygiene refills). It can also look like composting food and garden waste, cardboard, paper, loose tea and coffee grounds. And the most obvious of all, recycling. Although, recycling should be the last resort after all other avenues are considered, as it is an energy intensive process.
